Most of my knowledge of pop culture and hollywood comes from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I record him and watch the next day while the boys sleep. This past week he had Jessica Alba on and she talked about a tv show she is in, mother hood, and a company she started- The Honest Company.  She talked about when she became a mom she wanted to give the 'cleanest' life to her daughter. It started her on a journey to create diapers, wipes, cleaners and so on that are chemical free. They are plant based and economical. This i had to see for myself if it truly was economical, so i went to the website to check it out.    I feel like there is a distinct line between the two stores. There are certain people who would never go to the other for whatever reason. I have a battle in my mind every time i need to go to the store for groceries. Which one really is the best deal for what i need. I am not a couponer so i don't do that i just pay full price for what i get. I am not picky, i purchase mostly off brand name stuff. Most of the time i go to either of these stores its cause i need something for the men in my life. Toddler food stuff and personal hygiene things. If its straight groceries i go to Aldi, cause i know i save there! I think i can get all i need for us with $40 and its double at both of the mentioned stores. I go back and forth on how i feel about these stores. I really like the clothes at Target, but sometimes i can find cute things at Walmart. Little do you know i got the Senior Superlative for Best Dressed. To look at my closet now you would never think that. Its funny how as you get older you lose touch, or money or whatever to keep up with the latest styles and trend setting info. This week mom took me to her favorite store....Khol's....I am not a huge fan cause their clothes were either too teenybob or too soccer mom. I am happy to say we stumbled across a new line, and name i recognized, Lauren Conrad!! Don't know how many of you were Hills watchers or even before that the FIRST Laguna Beach, but she is one of the main reality girls. At first sight i was like these are cute...but will they fit? Will i have to get an XL just to fit where i can breath like other stores :) I picked up three really cute, different styled, shirts in Mediums and they all fit!! they were flattering, modest and fun! Sunday after church Kimmel and I went to IKEA with his family. We have had some ideas in our minds of what we need for the house and what we like. It was SOOO busy. I got really overwhelmed it was kind of like when i went shopping one christmas day with my mom years ago...NEVER again did i or will i!! I am not sure if my brain couldn't process what i was doing, all the people and to process each display room to see if we liked it or not. shewy :) This picture is from a design website....we have a small cubbie in our front room/office that i thought would fit.
