Tried to do pictures with the boys yesterday in the falling snow in the afternoon, but asher fell with in the first seconds of us being out there...                          He wouldn't let go of my hand, so i had to put him inside and he kept crying. I guess it was just too traumatizing. Shepherd really didn't want anything to do with it either so back inside we went. Short and no fun.  Today we tried again and it was a bit more successful. Not much playing for them, Asher kept crying. We pulled them in a box sled and Shepherd liked it but Asher not so much. Hoping its an age thing. :( Kimmel decided to burn some of his brush pile today. Did i mention asher was crying :( I think we had fun :) Hope you and your family did too!

A couple weeks back shepherd found my old camera and started taking pictures. Had to share what he captured. Started out on a tri-pod and then holding it.  He loves snapping anything and sometimes i can't tell what he was looking at.  Thought you might get a kick out of them as i did :) Asked me to take his picture on the tripod while he was spinning....an daddy sleeping     in the truck and under the couch   His attention to detail...the soccer goal and his tootsies Extreme close ups....   Daddy and asher The world thru the eyes of three year old :) 

Shepherd is three today. This little man is such a blessing in so many ways. Also to be fair he drives me crazy too! Starting to say 'No thank you" when i ask him to do something and he doesn't want to.  Then 5 minutes later helping me find Asher's juice, toy or something. He is definitely a social bug, always wanting someone to share in the fun he is having. He talks a lot which makes me wonder if he will get 'excessive talking' on his school reports like me in school :/ We celebrated last night with friends and family in Keller at a fun kid spot called Celebration. Thanks to great gran Mimi and great gran June and Bob for giving toward his bday! He didn't eat dinner cause he played the whole time but he ate a cupcake! :) Tried for a picture of all the kids and this is what we got... Just seconds later we lost them all :)  We are so very thankful for this little man and all he comes with! We have fun playing and being silly as well as...

Its been a year! Asher is a year! Can you believe it? He is our little salsa dancer that wobbles back and forth from room to room playing and babbling all day long. Thankful for this little guy.  More and more of his personality comes out daily amid all the grunts and ooo's as we try to understand him.  He belly laughs at Shepherd now at random silly things he does. Its adorable! It sometimes tickles shepherd too that he can't stop laughing with/at him.  We will be on the road today driving to visit Kimmel's granddad and extend family in east Texas, so we did the smash cake last night. Asher wasn't a huge fan of the cake, we had to ask Shepherd to show him that its yummy. A request he did not have a problem obeying. I'm sure as Asher gets older he will love cake too.  Hope you get to spend time with your loved ones today or tomorrow and its a special time! Happy Thanksgiving y'all! :) 

Man i am really out of shape with keeping up with the blog. It is a habit that i have dropped and can't seem to pick up well yet. Thanks to you who read this still! :) This month seems to have become our month of birthdays for friends and family. Kimmel's best friends' is on the 27, 4 from his family and My best friend's since first grade is the 13th, while another best friend, from college is the 15th and couple others i noticed on Facebook. Yesterday was Kimmel's bday! 29 years old. He went to work with homemade cards and blueberry muffins in his new shirt. He spoke at FCA in the morning at his middle school! Said it went really well. We have plans for dinner and Mockingjay over the weekend to celebrate! Last weekend we celebrated the newest addition to our birthday month Asher. Found a cute teepee invitation and went with that for the theme.  The best gift of all my sister flew in for it and surprised us all!! So much fun! The boys love...

If you watch any tv I'm sure you have seen this commercial but it is by far my favorite right now and makes me laugh every time! :D My favorite is when she says 'i should totally start a blog'! Its so true that there is an expectation for us SAHM (stay at home mom) to do a blog. To write inspirational wise things that everyone will love, like and share on social media. I know cause i have tried to do that....but i can only muster up about once a month of anything inspiring for anyone to read! Or find time to do it! Mostly this blog is for family keeping up with us since all mine is back in VA and now we live near no family.  I know i have had days like this commercial shows and I'm sure you have too! (cue spiritual connection) Like this lady who has allstate to call when she messed up her car, we have God to call on when our day is messed up! :) so thankful for that! 

Growing up my family didn't really participate in the halloween shenanigans of knocking door to door. I remember going to churches saying verses for candy. I know people of different opinions and thoughts about the day but for me i love the dressing up. So darn cute! Exhibit A: Exhibit B:  We will go to Opa and Layla's for dinner and then to their churches trunk or treat and walk in their neighborhood too. Should be a fun night! Be safe and get lots of treats!!
