This christmas Kimmel and i spent at home. It was our first christmas without travel, or production. Just waking up, heating up some cinnamon buns, heating water up for hot coco and hot tea. We had a lovely morning! Cleaned house and then went to see Tangled. I sometimes wonder if we should have done something different, or made a 'difference', and then i remember i over think things too much!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!! May the gift of christmas live through you all 364 other days of the year! We are so blessed and don't ever forget! 

Kimmel and i went to Texarkana to visit the Jones family...we miss them loads and were excited to spend 24 hours with them. Of course we did some skeet shooting! :) Dustin got a huge hicky on his shoulder from it and Brock was a great skeet thrower! It was a fun relaxing few hours with our best friends and their little ones!  They are our family! 

This week I haven't had any ideas of what to blog. Its been a great week, had my birthday Tuesday...it totally rocked, Andrew surprised me twice and i love surprises so it was fun!! Time with Jesus has been sweet and lovely. But still nothing,i think sometimes i get nothing to say cause i need to listen and that i have been doing. Hopefully after this week or so i will be flooded with things to say...all full of wisdom and humor that makes all readers laugh....right? :) MERY CHRISTMAS FROM KIMMEL AND I!!

Its cold here in Ft Worth! Slow cooker season again! Trying a new one today, it is smelling good! Thought you might like it too. Its chicken tex mex served on rice! Slow-Cooker Tex Mex Chicken 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1in wide strips 2 Tbsp taco seasoning mix 2 Tbsp flour 1 green pepper cut into 1 inch wide strips 1 red pepper cut into 1 inch wide strips 11/2 cups thick and chunky salsa 1 cup shredded cheese Mix all but the cheese in slow cooker cover lid. Cook on low 6-8 or high 3-4 Stir just before serving and top with cheese. You can lay this over rice or maybe even put it in tortillas. YUM YUM!

So i heard about this new fashion company- Halle Joy- Their purpose is to make fashionable handbags and jewlery to sell and give money to africa or some place that needs it. Kind of like Toms and other fun great companies. December is special for several reasons. Christmas, gifts, family, friends, food the list goes on. everyone has different reasons this month is special. One reason december is special for me is Pipe Masters takes place 8-20th. These two weeks are filled with surfers all gathering in Hawaii to compete. Thanks to the internet we can watch it live! They have dedicated this years tournament to Andy Irons -young surfer who died last month. Wish i was there. Here is a video to check out!

Anna Kate is getting distracted! :)  Yesterday my friend sherry took me to the Gaylord. We had discussed weeks ago that she wanted me to go with her to take pictures of her girls with all the christmas stuff. Of course i said yes! One problem i forgot about it til monday night when we were talking and i was like 'oh, yes of course i remember' haha Her oldest daughter just turned 10 and she was also going to get her ears pierced at the mall after. The timing didn't work out for me to go with them for the ear piercing after all but what fun pictures i could have captured :) If you want some cute christmas pictures the gaylord has some good spots, not as many as i would have thought but still good, you should go. Yesterday morning i read John 10. Nothing special it is the next chapter that i was supposed to read so i did. Learned a bit more about God and him being the good shepherd and what that looks like today in our lives. Go to work and our youth staff meeting Brandon has us read John 10. I was like i just read this this morning. Suzanne said i was woken up at 4 and read this chapter. GOD WANTED US ALL TO READ THIS CHAPTER! :) Was editing the wednesday night lesson for our teams about Worship-personal and corporate. Just got feedback from a Coach that "this is perfect timing, my girls have been HORRIBLE during worship! Pray that they hear and receive this! It is always so sweet to me when God shows himself so evidently. That he cares about each one of us individually and works thru each of us to love and share him with them! The past few weeks i have found myself worshiping through some music i never thought i would. Rap. I love the R&B station here in dallas and every sunday morning they play worship from local churches i enjoy listening to the different style, but rap i never thought would give me special moments with Dad.  Kimmel and i are none stop listening to Lecrea. Usually i am skeptic when it comes to christian rap....but this man is blessed and i get challenged and blessed when i listen. We had his Rebel cd for a while now and just recently got the Rehab from a friend a couple months back. There are a couple that stand out to me from the Rebel cd, but i am not sure which is my fave from the latest one, they are so good its hard to decide!!  If you don't know who he is you need to check him out! His lyrics are god centered, worshipful and a challenge to your heart and mind!
