Engaged

So its been a couple days but i wanted to blog about something very special! On friday Andrew asked me to marry him! He took me on a picnic lunch to grapevine lake where he fed me, walked me by the water, skipped some rocks and then got down on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. The ring slipped onto my finger with out a hitch...it was a perfect lunch with a perfect man for a perfect start. Hahahaha we are not perfect who am i kidding...:) He is for me! Thank you Lord for the fun day, and the start of something special!

Christmas Piano Recital

Its the end of the semester for my piano lessons. So we all headed out to Mr. E's Music store to play on a grand piano. The students were so excited...and nervous it was cute. I actually had one of my students call me monday night while i was in line for the concert asking me questions and we walked thru stuff on the phone....it was cute. She did wonderful the next day. I shared a pic earlier of my students and i want to share this one too of last night. Thanks Amy for taking pictures. :) Great Job every one!! :) We <3 music!

Colbie

Last night i went with my friend Paige to see Colbie Calliat at the House of Blues in Dallas. It was nice. She was a mix of Jennifer Aniston and Mariah Carey. It was very laid back and island feel to it all. Her new albulm should be coming out soon she says. It was interesting though, at the house of blues they have this huge eye thing circled by the words unity in diversity with six or eight religious symbols around it but no cross. Hindu, Budha, Star of David, and three i didn't have a clue what they were. The one truth was not represented. Something to ponder.

Bake Night 08

Image
So my senior girls came over Sunday night for a bake night. It was a Christmas celebration of type night. I love baking molasses cookies from scratch...like rolling the flour and mixing all the ingredients to make a beautiful cookie! Its fun! We did instant brownies, and made a 'funfettie' cake with strawberry icing. YUM!!! It was fun, i love having people over in my house. It feels comfy, and i love laughing with the girls. I always wanted to be the mom who's kids always brought their friends over cause its fun and comfy. Maybe some day! :)

Turkey Break

This thanksgiving i spent it with my boyfriend Andrew and his family. It was a lot of fun and relaxing. We drove out to east texas on thursday to visit with his dad's side of the family. They live out in the middle of no where with lots of land to roam and run. Wish i grew up there..it would be an amazing place for my imagination to run wild! Then friday we headed out to a cute B&B for his mom's side of the family celebration. It was a quick 40 min drive to this great place in Arura Texas. They had donkey's buffalo (pictured below) and horses. Andrew wanted to ride one but the ranch hand wasn't in this particular weekend. While we were waiting for Valinda's siblings to arrive we were having a bit of fun :) she said we looked like the three monkeys so we fulfilled her vision. It was a great holiday, very relaxing, both families were super great and welcoming. Had a lot of fun playing gin rummy with his Aunt Janice, and listening to all their stories and laughter
