Twilight

Image
So last night i went with my friends Christin and Jen to see the new movie Twilight for the SECOND time. I went with a friend Sherry (in picture below) to the opening midnight showing. (she is crazy fan obviously! haha) It is a hugely popular movie based on the vampire book series by Stephanie Meyer. The first night was crazy with all the teeny bob girls there oohing and aahing with every move Edward made. It was so entertaining. Last night was a more subdue crowd. I have not read any of the books but my friend Christin told me the story on a two hour drive a couple weeks ago so i know what is going on and i LOVED the movie. It is really entertaining, sweet and totally up a girls alley! So if you haven't yet GO SEE IT! I am contemplating reading the other books...but really not sure. Oh well...i will wait for the next movie...hahah :)

Birthday fun!

Friday was Andrew's birthday and he let me surprise him with dinner somewhere special. I found this German restaurant, Edelweiss (like the song) that i heard was really good and fun so i took a chance. Google mapped for directions, we got a little turned around...but we made it. He was really surprised and liked it. The reason i chose this restaurant was cause he spent the first five or six years with his family in Austria. He ordered a Shnitzle, and said he hadn't had one in 14 years. It was delicious! There was a lady and a man all dressed in native dress playing the according and yodeling. It was great. You should check it out! www.edelweissrestaurant.com

Piano Lessons

Image
When i was really little i had the dream that one day i would be the pianist of a church where my husband was the pastor. Can you tell i grew up in a southern baptist church..hahaha So as you know that has not happened but i did learn to play the piano. Started in like first grade and stuck with it through half of my junior year. Mrs. Lamb was the last teacher i had. She was amazing! Amazingly challenging as well. I learned so much from her the five or more years i took from her. Then my dream changed to wanting to teach piano lessons. That would be my job. Stay home, work from home and teach kids. Perfect job! So i started doing this on the side for extra cash last year. I really like it. The students i have are just 5-8 years old. All beginners and all really sweet. Last spring i rented out a recital hall for them to play on an actual grand piano. I think they really liked it, so this year i am renting it out again...for christmas recital. Its fun and exciting! one week

Image
One week has gone by and i didn't blog! oh no! haha I couldn't really think of anything that people would want to read about....but i figured out something. :) Repair guy got sick so he couldn't come and supposedly is coming tomorrow...i think the water is starting to stink...:( So i have mentioned before that Thursday nights is monopoly night for me and some friends. Well the games can get pretty intense and scary at times so every now and then we play a different game. The new obsession is with Settlers. It is an interesting game of strategy. I have only played it twice and liked it, but Andrew (my boyfriend) is crazy about it. He has won both times i have played...haha So anyway its loads of fun and not too competitive or cut throat as monopoly is.

Time for repairs...

So i have lived in my town house now for almost 3 years...and it was one of the most stressful things i ever went thru....purchasing it that is...:) but now things are slowly needing repair. :( my disposal just went kahput and now today my washer stopped mid cycle and i can't get it to start back up... oh boy! :( not sure if i have warranty on it, i think i did but i bought that before the house....they are almost 6 years old i think....but i didn't think it would stop on my now...:( oh well gotta figure that one out!
