Don't know about you and your family but we love to grill! When we moved into the new house we were blessed with getting a new grill! One that andrew loves to grill on and one i think looks good :) We have enjoyed many a chicken, steak and pork on that nice grill! In his excitement for the grill we purchased the 'Weber's way to grill' book. Appropriately so since we now owned a webber grill. Kimmel has learned alot from this book and one of our favorite things is a sauce that tastes awesome with chicken, steak and pork! Enjoy! Sassy Barbecue Sasuce 1/2 cup water 1.2 cup ketchup 2 tbls molasses 1 tbl white wine vinegar (we use red) 1tbl Dijon Mustard 1 tbl light brown sugar 2 tsps Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp kosher salt 1/4 tsp hot sauce, or to taste 1/4/ tsp granulated garlic 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper Small saucepan whisk the ingredients, bring to boil over medium heat then reduce to simmer for 10 mins. stir occasionally. SO YUMM!!

I am a conscientious TV watcher..i hate wasting the day away just watching shows...it feels empty and gross. Don't get me wrong i can waste a good Saturday with the best of us but as far as the weekly watching i try to keep it to the minium not the max! :)  But monday nights are AMAZING!! My husband and i are blessed to have DVR and we record two shows weekly CHUCK and CASTLE!! My husband really enjoys Castle, he thinks he is cleaver and oh so 'rugged and handsome'! I love Chuck cause he is a sweet lil nerd and is totally in love with this bombshell and he is always so SWEET! Castle just makes me laugh and laugh...the story writters are awesome! i just know that they won't ever get together cause its the crux of the show...so keep it clean an sweet boys! Last night we actually got to watch them on time cause andrew didn't have a football game. It was a nice night of relaxation with a lil bit of football (bears and somebody played).

Since my sister's wedding when i was in 10th grade i have been in a total 13 weddings, none my own. At one point mom told me i needed to stop saying yes! I actually used two of the dresses twice believe it or not! :) It was a privilege to have girls in my wedding knowing that they trusted and loved me long time ago to be in their wedding and were willing and happy to come be in mine. This fall i have the honor of being in my best friend since 1st grades wedding-Amber, and Andrew's best friend's Kyle- we are both in that one! It is exciting to watch the stories unfold and share in their special day. I was at a shower for Maddie and Kyle's wedding this past weekend and i snapped a picture of this lil centerpiece the hostess had made. I thought it was really sweet and i had to share! One of the annoying thing about 'cute' couples is when they giggle. But its only annoying when you aren't that couple, minus public displace of giggling and such i find that aw

If i were to put pictures up of our last two days you would have to look away. Andrew and i have been struck by a stomach bug! Throwing up is what we did all sunday evening and i did a lil of monday morning. NO FUN! We got a dr appointment yesterday at 4, he put a shot in my hip we got home and i went straight to bed...didn't get up til this morning at like 8 and transferred myself to the couch from which i didn't move til noon...andrew took me for a small walk and that is the extent of my day. Oh how long the days feel when you are sick. if you know anyone sick, terminal or temporarily say a prayer for them now!

So right after andrew and i got married we made the decision to sell his ranger and get a scooter. We had a friend that had gotten one and said the gas mileage was incredible. Andrew is all about saving money and i am all about saving the earth so we saved up and got it! He is the proud driver, but some days when its been a beating for him i take it. Yesterday was that day for me. I really like riding it cause its you and nature breezing together. If its hot you are sweating and the hot air is nasty. If its cool the breeze is amazing! If its one of the three cold days here in texas you better bundle up! Yesterday this strange dragonfly type thing almost ran into me as i was slowing down for a light...would have been tragic. :0 we love riding together too...its a fun late evening ride!

I was driving home or to work the other day and i heard this great song on the POP radio station. There was something that made this song different. It was a guy singing to a girl, not abnormal, singing sweet words. Saying things that made my heart smile and think of Andrew cause he has said something similar to me. As i continued to listen to it my thought was All girls would love to hear this from a guy....and just as quick as that thought passed i heard God impress on my heart... That is what i think about you, and all my creation! I had a moment of worship thanks to this silly pop music guy. I had not heard the name of the song or the artist and it as been a few weeks, so i thought to search itunes. Thought it would be very difficult to find. Clicked the Top Tens tab, then the itunes tab and this is what i saw. It is the number one song right now. That tells me that those words ring true in our society today. That girls like to hear his words, and guys aren't to ashamed to say

Reading thru Dueteronomy for my personal worship time this month. Sounds exciting eh? To simply put, Moses is retelling all the things the Israelites need to do to stay right with God. The rules and festivals, the sacrifices and restrictions. These are the things the Israelites based their lives on. I noticed today that Moses says after talking about a disobedience, or doing evil in the sight of the LORD, it says "You must purge the evil from among you". Meaning get rid of that person. Don't let that one spoil the whole lot of you. One time this quote is followed by the famous "eye for an eye" passage people like to quote when defending the death penalty. It makes me thankful for Jesus and the grace he brought. That he nor others can spite me when i do evil in the eyes of the lord! It caused me to pause and think...this is how i need to feel when a thought, or reaction comes to mind our out of my mouth that isn't pleasing to the Lord. PURGE THE EVIL FROM AM

I LOVE feet! I think my favorite trait of my self is my feet. They aren't fancy or anything but i am happy with them...sounds silly i know...but i like feet. I love taking pictures of feet..trying to figure out the best way to capture them and look good. I asked my photog for our wedding i like feet so get what you can of that...she got some great shots! Our worship leader has just written a bunch of worship songs that we get to do a live recording of this weekend and we are stoked! One of his songs is called 'feet that move'. I love that title cause it is what our church strives for. Feet that move to bring good news...is one of the lines. Whether that is at work in the neighborhood, or in your family. We are feet that move to the rhythm of God.

My two new obsessions in my life at 32 are -trying my hand at photography and decorating our home. (not sure if i am good at either but i am having fun!) I took a class in college on interior design...don't remember much but remember having fun in the class. My favorite thing is to find things that people wouldn't naturally put together...its a hunt. Andrew and i both like working and building things together, so there are so many things we have in our minds that we want to do it will take us years! :) Although this weekend was overshadowed with my painting i still had my bathroom that is on the back of my mind. Bit by bit things are coming together. I love watching it form and get a personality. Went to hobby lobby the other day and bought something that had no purpose just so i could decorate with it! It was fun! So here is my current status with the bathroom...i think i may need to paint the wall behind the big mirror but other than that i think its coming along smoothly! Th

So this weekend was a get r done weekend for kimmel and I! He had a project and i had two! His was a new fence with a retaining wall, and mine were to paint our master bed and one of the bedrooms. I finished ours and am half done for the first bed room. It was sooooooo long and tiring, but sooooo good we got them done! We saved money of course by doing it our selves ;) Thought a collage would best show his work...but i am nor sure now haha

Through out the old testament we see God telling his people to build an alter to remember something momentous, something special. Usually they are attached with a word describing God or what he did at that spot. I have two reminders with me all the time shown above in the picture. My tattoo and wedding bands. Both are reminders of love for me. Love of God- tattoo- being permanent and constantly with me whether i notice it or not, and the foundation for my marriage...which is my wedding bands. The love that Kimmel has for me -though we may be flawed- is perfect for me. These two reminders tell me who i am and who loves me. During sad times i see them and smile. During happy times they shine like the sun! (yes the tattoo shines :) ) I am very blessed. God has been faithful through some AWESOME times and some really crummy times! We are thankful! I wanted to remind you ;)

The other morning in staff meeting as we were praying one of the pastors said something that has resonated with me. He was talking about David and his Psalms and how he had a voice and a different way to write. Its important for us to find our evangelism voice. Don't base it on the 4 spiritual laws or what ever structure there is, but seek God and follow him in his leading for your evangelism. This hit me cause we have been praying about how to minister to our neighbors. It is a slow going process but we are asking, listening and obeying. I sometimes wish i were further along and knew what everyone needed...andrew softly says its ok just keep being obedient, in HIS time. So i sing a song of love to my neighbors....not just sure yet what the next words are! What does your evangelism sound like?
