Bones and Booth

I may be a little late to bandwagon for this show since i just started, but i LOVE it! My sister is totally hooked and a big fan so i thought i would give it a try. Moving out here was the best time to try it out since there was no dvr or cable and with all the summer shows still in rerun i decided to start from the beginning and watch all 9 seasons to get ready for tonight! I'm not a huge fan of the main characters never getting together story line, but since i knew that they were together i could muster thru the 6 seasons apart. They did a great job of stringing along for a few seasons and had some great side stories with the other cast. Love when they had the baby, love the wedding and love the change that Brennan makes. Love their banter and how they help each other. If you haven't started watching it you should! Netflix has all 9 seasons now.

Lightning and Mater

This weekend at our exit of 35 we found Lightning and Mater! We took the boys to meet them and it turned out to be a fundraiser for autism. If you wanted to take pictures behind the barricade you donate. We just had too! Asher thought it was so funny when i tried to take his picture :) Shepherd really liked it too. When we went to the store the next day he asked, 'find lightning mom?' I told him they moved on, but when we got to the parking lot for walmart he was yelling, "LIGHTNING?? where you?" hahaha

Muddy boots

We have been in our house for about two months now and its feeling like home. I wondered how i would do moving from the suburbs to small town Texas.  Kimmel always said that once i gave birth in Texas i would be a texan, but i don't agree. I will say that our land and house now makes me feel a bit more texan and the fact that i own a pair of boots after a decade of living here. I'm still and east coast girl at heart. The week of july me and the boys moved in we got 11 inches of rain and we were worried that kimmel wouldn't be able to get us home from the airport. Thankfully we made it.  Our front stoop was muddy for days. I just got it all nice and clean and we had rain again this past weekend, back to muddy ugliness. We live off a country dirt road and we don't have any gravel or paved driveway. Therefore when it rains of any kind of substance its a muddy mess. I don't think i am a girlie girl. I kill bugs, while screaming, i don't wear makeup cause it t

back on line

We had some issues with the last internet company that we started to use and it utterly failed. It took about a month to find and get the new connection up and running. We used our phones for some things but kinda lost touch on bigger things. In the mean time life kept going and the boys kept growing! Shepherd 'helped' me take Asher's 9 month pictures. We went out by our barn on the overcast afternoon yesterday. He laughed at Shepherd so much we got some fun stuff! Caught them both checking out the box of goodies. They were drawn to the little toggle on the front. Its fun to see their similarities cause they are pretty opposite from each other.  We are loving the country life and super excited about the fall weather coming in! We hope to get more decorations on the walls and continue unpacking sometime soon. For now we have empty walls but full hearts.
