Stage 1

Image
This saturday andrew spent all afternoon working on the front flower bed. I had just kept what the builders had planted, and not really kept up with the weeding of it. It wasn't ugly, just not perfect. ;) He enjoys the hard work and likes making the yard look pretty. He took a truck load of dirt, weeds, grass and bushes from the front yard. Its amazing how the small area had so much dirt!! i am very proud of him and his hard work. :)

camping fun with kimmels

Sunday after church andrew and i loaded up the car and all the great camping gear we got from our lovely friends as wedding gifts :) We headed out to Possum Kingdom and found a great spot to put the tent up and relax. I posted some video cause i love this lil camera...but they are short :) We had a great dinner of hot dogs...got a campfire going and had two different types of music blaring near us thanks to our neighbor campers :) it was nice to get away even if it was just for a day!

Finally posted :)

I have not put my absolute faves cause i am wanting to do gifts and stuff with them so i am keeping them safe haha If you come over you can see some we will print out...just not sure when that will happen. HAHAHA Its been a good week so far...had dinner with our seniors tonight at Shady Oak BBQ. if you haven't eaten there and there is one near you get there soon! Tomorrow is the new Terminator. I really could care less except its my fave actor...Christian Bale so i must see it....ranting actor he may be but i still love him! :)

Testing for teachers...

Friday andrew and i drove to Abilene so he could take is certification test. It was from 12-4. He sat at the computer answering multiple choice questions on math, science, english and history. He felt pretty confident and thinks he passed. We are praying that the knowledge he had was exactly what was necessary and the answers were great! The next day he had his last full day of training too... from 9-4. His last saturday spent in a hotel listening to stuff he may use for the future :) Please pray with us that this is the steps he needed to acquire the job he is looking for.  We passed the month mark yesterday. Its been a busy 4 weeks. Nothing has been 'normal' yet with these training days and all he has been gone each saturday. I am a creature of schedule and we haven't really gotten into one. So i am praying that i will last a lil bit more cause he is gone this friday night...our first apart... for a history outing. They get to stay on the texas battle ship!!! cool eh??  M

Piano Recital

Last night was my Spring Recital for my students. It was a fun night. I have seven students now ranging from 5 years old to 9 years old. Their families were cute and proud! My in laws came to support me as well as my husband. I forgot to take pictures sorry about that. I may find some posted on facebook from their moms :) I will update if i do  I really enjoy teaching and hope that maybe some day it could be a job i do for realz :) haha

Scooting around town. :)

So last night andrew sold his truck, the dependable ford ranger, to a student in our ministry. It is great cause the kid gets a great car for super cheap and he can not worry about it too much! So then andrew was like then lets go get a scooter! He has been wanting one for like a year now and really feels it will help with saving money and having fun! So we went to Moxie Scooters on 26 and met some really great men who love their job! We walked out with a Kymco People, silver. He let me drive it for a bit in our neighborhood but i am not as confident yet....its kind of scary but loads of fun! I took some video of course of the first few mins of him with his new toy! :) We have fun lil helmets! Can't wait for the fun that lies on the road ahead :) hhahaha

Video fun!

So there is this site with wonderful deals every day and i was thankful a friend told me about this deal. It was the Flip video for $75! They go for 125 now...so i signed up and purchased...now i hope to give some great video stuff for yall's enjoyment! :)

Teaching

So this past wednesday night i got to speak to our middle school students. I am not a well rehearsed public speaker...no one calls on me to do retreats or stuff like that...i am good with that. My personality isn't that of always liking to be up front but more in the back taking care of the other stuff..hahah but i had fun this past week. Dustin asked me tuesday afternoon to speak...and i didn't break out in cold sweat and replied yes. Andrew and i had been reading thru colossians in the mornings and the 3rd chapter just stuck out to me on many differnt ways...so i thought i would teach from that. So i asked some of my close friends how can i make this great! I took their suggestions and put everything into it. It was a blast, the students seem to be listening! haha one of our new coachees and new friend to andrew and i said her girls really got it, the service opened the door and they walked thru a great discussion. PRAISE THE LORD!! so all that to say...it wasn't that bad
