Saw this on a friends Facebook just now and i was like eh? This is SOOOO FUNNY!!! You have to watch it! I love it! :)

While andrew an i were dating, he used to come and cut my grass for me. Its a small yard but he wanted to 'take care' of me in that way, it was sweet! :) One day my neighbor was telling me something about her yard or something and said 'I saw your lawn boy the other day....' i really don't remember the rest of what she said cause that was so funny to me! Lawn Boy! The truth is he loves working in the yard and i get the benefit, cause i am not really sure about anything in that area. Yesterday while i was away he fixed our front yard. Everything he had planted last season passed except the monkey grass in the front. I wanted to share it with you cause he does a great job! And he put two shrubs in for me even though he doesn't like them! :)

So today my friend that lives in Austin but used to live here came in town for a week to do hair. She is a stylist and has been cutting/dying my hair for the past like 4 years i guess. She is funky cool and always does a great job with whatever we decide. Due to her living place now she only comes in like every 6 or so months to do hair. I had been growing my hair out so i have not touched it for like since december and it was in dire need of thinning and making it pretty. So i wasn't sure if she was going to make it in before Paige's wedding next month so i asked another friend to cut my hair last friday! It looks great...really thankful she did that, then my usual stylist was like i am coming next week! so i got to get it colored today! Its so relaxing to get your hair did! It is starting to feel really long as is this blog so i shall end here and leave you with a picture of the beautiful two stylist do. I could get used to getting my hair done each week....and thank you Dad

A friend called me this morning to ask me to go to the Zoo with her and her family! I was super excited! :) I really like the zoo and it had been awhile since we went last. The weather was perfect for it...cloudy and cool. We saw some incredible animals like the lions in the first picture, did you know their roar can be heard from up to 2-5 miles away! The flamingos in the bottom picture and we went to the bird exhibit. We sat in the lunch area and ate our lunch with the black birds and flies :) It was a nice morning. Then i decided to lock my scooter key in the seat, so i had to go to Andrew's school to get his key :) it was nice to see him! No i wait for my piano students to get here.Hope you too got to enjoy the pretty day!

Yesterday was our Year Anniversary! Can't believe its been a year already! It was such fun planning and actually having the ceremony it seems like last month. We have had a full year of great times and sad times. We are growing together and as individuals its fun! We were unable to do anything really big this year just cause, and i was disappointed at first but then after Jesus spoke to me he said to make it memorable in simple ways :)Its funny cause the weekend was full of american bridal traditions. Andrew's sister is getting married in May and her friends threw her bachorlette party friday night and a couples shower saturday afternoon. It is tradition to have on last night of just the girls, or just the boys, before you strap down to just ONE person for the REST OF YOUR LIFE! :) it was fun and i think they got some good things. So Saturday morning i put my wedding dress on and woke Andrew up! I love the dress and he thinks i look pretty in it! After our afternoon festivities

So thankful for our friends. The friends that were apart of the wedding and those that weren't. Thankful for those that played with us when we were young and today. We both have been very blessed with our friends. Sweet people who genuinely love us and are always there for us. Hope that they too feel the same way. We had 9 people for our wedding party. It was either 1 or 9. It was easy for me to pick the ladies cause they are girls that have been in my life long before there was no andrew. Each one holds a special place in my heart. They have been there for me when i have cried cause i am single or cause of a silly boy. Seen me fall on my face literally and helped me spiritually to not fall on my face, holding me accountable and praying for me. I have been in each one of their weddings (paige this may and amber this october) and they mean the world to me. They made the trip for me and i am very grateful for that! We are thankful for them and what they mean to us. We hope and pray

So we got married a year ago next week. Its hard to believe its been a year. It seems silly to say that it went by so fast. It was so fun! I think i laughed more this year than i did during college..and there were lots of things to laugh at there! We had a couple of our friends say that the first 3 years of their marriage was the hardest, some said they don't say they are married for 14 years cause the first 7 were so hard, and others say that it wasn't difficult to they had kids. I think i anticipated more difficulty and very thankful we haven't. This might be annoying to people but i thought i would take this week and say what i am thankful for about Kimmel and this marriage. Today its just Kimmel: his sweet disposition, is so fun to be around, if i try to pick a fight we end up laughing, very patient with me, listens to me when i ramble on, whistles all the time, he thinks i am perfect and most importantly he loves Jesus with his whole self. Its fun and a blessing being

So the other day at work a co-worker shared a story of him and is lil 7 year old talking about the bible and a passage that talks about God coming back and making a new earth and what that means. The lil boy asks his dad what does that mean, why would God need to make a new one. Dad proceeds to explain a little bit of how after God made us we disobeyed and sin separates us from God and since he died on the cross we are saved but we will one day be with God and he will make us a new heaven and earth. So the lil boy looks at his dad and says, 'so its like baking a cake with poop in it and you can't have so he's gotta get the poop out and make a new one'. So simple and true...our creator wants to make a new earth for us...in HIS time. One day he will come back and give us the gift of being with him. For now we are preparing for his return. Like sweet smelling perfume that we put on before a date. What can i do to smell good for HIS return?

The past couple weeks i feel like i am trying to Focus in on what is really important, what i need to put energy and time to. Asking Dad to help me see what is important in his eyes, and his plan for my life. Its real easy to get stuck in ruts of doing things, or feeling like you have to do something cause its expected of you for whatever reason...and we all know we can meet everyones expectations nor should we try. The one thing i have been saving for is a really nice camera. I love pictures, always have snapped them during high school with friends, college was capture every moment of ASA and friends. They hold a moment of life suspended forever. I think i have a decent eye for pictures. Sometimes i see something that if i had the right camera lens i think i would capture a beautiful picture. A long time ago God gave me this memory thing to help keep focused...i shared it with the youth at the church i was at...austin lee you might remember...if you do i will be VERY impressed hahaha

There have been few days in the past 6 years where i have truly relaxed...i try to remember to do that every week but doesn't always work. This weekend andrew nor i had any work thing to do this saturday....friday was good friday service at church which was a great night of remembering what the weekend's true meaning is. It was a lovely way to start the weekend. We went over to the Duke's house to play none other than settler's, our fave game ever! Saturday was a lazy late starting day lunch at chickfila at like 2pm some shopping then a national league soccer game of girls u17. It was fun. We went with a childhood friend of Kimmel's and we taught them our fave game after that! haha they were great players....it was a nice relaxing weekend. Service on sunday was good. Had a full house and the gospel was preached and remembered. He is risen! We are thankful for with out that there is no 'good news'!

So the past couple days have been GEORGEOUS!! like i open all the house windows and doors and just enjoy the wind flowing thru the house! Its probably my favorite type of weather, where you can wear anything and you can enjoy the outdoors doing loads of stuff! We live in a two story with a balcony and yesterday while me and beckham waited for Kimmel to get home i took some pictures...its a balcony with a view...:)

SERIOUSLY!! I am not a huge april fools joke person. I think mostly cause i am easily fooled cause i trust when someone tells me something its the truth. I remember in high school a friend of mine was telling us how he had gotten a pet octopus, and i proceeded to ask questions all about it, like where you keep it, what you feed it so on and on...then he is laughing and i am like what? and he says 'susan you will believe anything'. I remember a couple times actually pulling a prank on my dad and a friends mom, and it was funny but a part of me felt bad cause they fell for my lie. Oh well...all that to say, if you tell me something i will believe you...sorry :) (the picture is my serious face) ;)
