Our student ministry has this really fun and great 'mission money raising' that we have done two years now. NSM Lip Sync. Last year we had some 7th grade guys dress as girls and dance around to take the trophy, this year we had 8th grade girls dance and lip to disney songs, with a jimminy cricket. :) We had 8 'teams' last night and we raised $1400!! That money will go to the back to school project we do for a nearby elementary school. We purchase school supplies and hand it out to families that cannot afford it. The school is very grateful and our students have fun seeing the kids and families get their necessities.  Thank you to all the students for doing such a great job and to all the parents and watchers for donating! School supplies here we come! Til next year! :) 

So i am officially Mrs. Andrew Kimmel now! :) Susan Keener Kimmel to be exact, haha. We read Colossians this morning and the verses that stuck out to me was 2:6-7. Therefore as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. There are some verses that are so simple yet so challenging and comforting all at once. The last thing abounding in thanksgiving is where i am now. Just so thankful for the fact that we can 'walk in him'. That he has made a way for us to do so. Then thankful that his love causes him to give even beyond just giving himself. Thankful for the little things and thankful for the huge things. I am so thankful that he held off the rain for Andrew and i to get married. It was a beautiful night! Well so they say its 60% chance of rain friday....what do they know???!!!! Please pray for clear skies. Not only is my wedding friday and out side...but our church is doing a carnival that raises money for our special needs program here and it raises enough for the whole years funding! It is Texas and they say wait 2 hrs and the weather will change...hope that is true on the good side for us! :) So please lord allow us to be awed by your pretty sky this week!

The big day is almost here and i am sick! I think my body is responding to the stress with loosing my voice, to having the runs, to now having a head cold. :( Its amazing how ones body responds to change and no rest...hahaha So now i am being told what to take, and what to do to get better. When all i want to do is rest in the hammock with andrew. We watched return to snowy river last night with my mom. Such a great movie! We cleaned out the guest bed room getting it ready for my friend heather and her family...so excited to see her and her lil boy! Its going to be a great week of great friends, family and new family bonding....i am excited. Please pray that this silly thing gets out of my body..that the amount of rest i get will be sufficient or either get more! haha 4 days and counting! So thankful for andrew i can't even begin to explain! haha

The past week i have had two times in the middle of the day, not reading or praying...just living my life where random scripture passages come to mind and am just taught something about myself. The first one was the parable about the Talents. Instead of thinking about them as gifts and talents we have been given by God it was told to me this day that it was our salvation. Like the first guy some people get 'saved' then burry it and wait for jesus to come back without being proactive. The second guy received salvation, did some bible studies and shared it with some...and the third was like a evangelist rocking it. Then God entrusted the last two with even more. It challenged me in the fact that i haven't burried my faith and beliefs but i can tend to be more mediorce...is that where i want to stay? This past Sunday was the second one. Yesterday i was able to take my bridal picture with my friend Ellie. She is a great photog and took our engagement pictures, i love her 'eye'. hahaha So thanks to my trusted friend Christin who fixed my hair, did my make up and put on some eyelashes...so my eyes would 'pop'... i was ready for the photography exstravagansa. :) THANK YOU CHRISIN! My friends felicia and maddie also went with me. We all went to SWBTS. It is the only 'sentimental' place i really have in Ft Worth and the buildings and pond are super pretty. So we meet up about 4pm and stayed until 7ish. It was loads of fun. My florist had brought me a practice bouquet which i LOVED and am excited to see the stuff for the actual day. I am so thankful for my friends and their helping me...i think maddie may go into photography cause ellie was asking her to do so much by the end she was saying look at this angle, or this is a really pretty view. ;) Thanks Maddie! you Rock!! :) Felicia is getting married
