waiting `

so i was supposed to meet with a lady this morning at Starbucks...never seen her before in my life...is the aunt of our intern and i asked him what she looked like...he said blonde/brunette with glasses and looks like his mom...problem #1 i have never seen his mom...problem #2 there is only one lady in this starbucks with glasses and her name was Polly or something with a P....so i moved on...i sat for like 30 mins and nothing...ladies came in and out but noone was looking for me...so i walked over to the mags...b/c i luv reading mags...and still nothing...so how long do you wait for a person...i know i college you wait for a prof for 10 mins...a Dr. for 15...and if you want real brownie points you just wait 20 and when the prof/dr comes in you are like i was just waiting b/c i knew you would come! hahaha

now do i call the lady and say like where were you? did you wait for me at the wrong starbucks...b/c we all know there are a thousand in like a block radius of anywhere...or do i just let it go?? probably i will call and apologize for not getting up with her...and then we will probably try to schedule another time...and then will that work??

speaking of waiting...Jack Johnson's new album is on itunes!!! its good!!!

As mentioned in the last entry of this blog i bragged about how Dad is taking care of me and just making things light and easy and fun for the wedding. Yesterday Andrew and i went and took pictures with a friend of ours. And she took us to the grapevine train station, a field, a strange house, and to the lake where he proposed. We laughed, kissed, hugged, laughed and tried to stay warm. It was so much fun! Ellie was a bit nervous cause the temperature was like in the 50's. But the sun and sky was perfect so she said if we were game she was game. So we did! Ended up with like 200 pics....she wittled them down and gave me 160 some. They are all sooo good...it was hard to pick my fave. I am so thankful for her, her talent and her willingness to do this with us! I may put a link to the folder...but not sure just how....so bear with me! :)

I was curious as to where Valentines day came from and this is what i found. There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that i t originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine. Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. Photo shoot with Mabry Family

This past saturday was my first official photo shoot, meaning not really close friends, was really nervous to do it. Andrew came with me and was my voice of direction. I picked the same spot a friend of ours took our engagement pictures, main street Grapevine. We went a bit early to the spot and marked some places we thought would work, and talked out what positions might be good. With his strong voice he commanded them into spots! :) It was fun and the weather was perfect for it. Andrew had gotten me a new lens in time for the shoot so i was super pumped and so thankful it made it in time. There were a couple times that i forgot to change the setting and was like OH NO! Let's try that again!  I think they like it and are happy with it. A mutual friend has already asked me to take pics of her and her hubby. Now i am just waiting for my label to be created so i can look even more official! This is a fun hobby that i am excited to chase after! Click Here for more pics
