What's Next?

This week is the first week of a new schedule for me. I am cutting my 'hours' in half at work. This means i go from the 40 hours a week to 20 in office hours. I am excited to see what God has next for me. As most of you know ministry isn't in an office, but the office time was suffocating me. So now there is freedom, freedom to do what i am not sure just yet. I have mentioned before Andrew and i's desire to minister to our lil townhouse circle, so i am praying for vision and opportunity there. Being domestic and a untired, focused wife to Andrew is another desire of mine. Don't have much to say just yet...i am excited on this new adventure. I will keep you posted as God shows me what the path his he has for us Kimmels :)

He is a good God and i am glad He loves me! It is for freedom he set us free. It is for freedom i cut my pay in half :) hahaha

you are going to feel like a different person. It's a weird transition but God is sovereign and faithful and you will not miss that extra 20hrs from your paycheck. You will however love your new found time to do more exciting and fulfilling work for Jesus!

As mentioned in the last entry of this blog i bragged about how Dad is taking care of me and just making things light and easy and fun for the wedding. Yesterday Andrew and i went and took pictures with a friend of ours. And she took us to the grapevine train station, a field, a strange house, and to the lake where he proposed. We laughed, kissed, hugged, laughed and tried to stay warm. It was so much fun! Ellie was a bit nervous cause the temperature was like in the 50's. But the sun and sky was perfect so she said if we were game she was game. So we did! Ended up with like 200 pics....she wittled them down and gave me 160 some. They are all sooo good...it was hard to pick my fave. I am so thankful for her, her talent and her willingness to do this with us! I may put a link to the folder...but not sure just how....so bear with me! :)

week not planned

This past week was something i didn't plan or ever hope for. Last thursday during staff retreat i started cramping in the abdominal area...pretty abnormally...went to the er ...andrew left school and got there right when i was being admitted at 10ish...spent all afternoon testing prodding and found something on my ovary...it was burst and i was internally bleeding...so at 8:30 i was in the surgery room having it removed laposcopicly...is that how you spell it? ;) by midnight andrew and i were checking out, heading home. Spent the weekend recovering which was weird in itself cause no one tells you about all the quirky things that happens to your body with all those meds and stuff. The worst one was the constipation that came from it. one word people "stoolsofteners'' ( i know its not one word its a partial quote from a movie) man oh man...if you have had surgery and your surrounding family made you eat and drink things that were nasty to help you recover and you by pas

Extended Family Getaway..

This past weekend Kimmel's mom's side of the family got together to spend some christmas time together. His grandmother rented out this really sweet quaint cabin near lake Whitney. His uncle's family came in from Houston area which is fun cause we don't get to see them often. Everyone loved on lil Eleanor and all her cuteness. We took a walk down to the lake to check it out. As you can see its not a swimming hole but more of a tree spot. Got this fun picture of kimmel's rock he skipped :) And tried to take a picture of us with the timer... We had fun, exchanged gifts, ate great food and talked and laughed about their lives. Let the holiday's begin!! No more school for Kimmel...2 weeks of rest! :)
