entertain yourself

growing up with one sister who was 9 years older than you is more like being an only child...i say that to explain that b/c of this i can entertain myself pretty easily...and for a good amount of time...i remember recording myself singing with singers...cleaning my room and redecorating just for fun...jamming out to the last christian contemporary that i was allowed to listen too...hahahaha but even now at 28 i seem to get along just fine alone in my room for hours....the other morning i was getting ready in my apt...roommate gone...and no music b/c i wanted a quiet morning right...so i stand there straightening my hair thinking about life and things that have happened recently and i was thinking about my visit to Baco...i mean Waylor...i mean...augh...i totally mixed the words up...and i totally laughed soooo hard...and was like noone is here to hear that and enjoy that with me....and even now you are probably like what am i reading...she has lost it...that may be true!
all that to say i am easily entertained...with or with out friends...i just wish i could spend more time with my boyfriend...distance sux!

I was an only child for 6 years and I am the same way. I work in a one person office and my friends don't understand how I can be alone for 9 hours per day and then go home to be alone. Easily amused, very self sufficient or just crazy....The votes are still out.

As mentioned in the last entry of this blog i bragged about how Dad is taking care of me and just making things light and easy and fun for the wedding. Yesterday Andrew and i went and took pictures with a friend of ours. And she took us to the grapevine train station, a field, a strange house, and to the lake where he proposed. We laughed, kissed, hugged, laughed and tried to stay warm. It was so much fun! Ellie was a bit nervous cause the temperature was like in the 50's. But the sun and sky was perfect so she said if we were game she was game. So we did! Ended up with like 200 pics....she wittled them down and gave me 160 some. They are all sooo good...it was hard to pick my fave. I am so thankful for her, her talent and her willingness to do this with us! I may put a link to the folder...but not sure just how....so bear with me! :)

I was curious as to where Valentines day came from and this is what i found. There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that i t originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine. Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. Photo shoot with Mabry Family

This past saturday was my first official photo shoot, meaning not really close friends, was really nervous to do it. Andrew came with me and was my voice of direction. I picked the same spot a friend of ours took our engagement pictures, main street Grapevine. We went a bit early to the spot and marked some places we thought would work, and talked out what positions might be good. With his strong voice he commanded them into spots! :) It was fun and the weather was perfect for it. Andrew had gotten me a new lens in time for the shoot so i was super pumped and so thankful it made it in time. There were a couple times that i forgot to change the setting and was like OH NO! Let's try that again!  I think they like it and are happy with it. A mutual friend has already asked me to take pics of her and her hubby. Now i am just waiting for my label to be created so i can look even more official! This is a fun hobby that i am excited to chase after! Click Here for more pics
