yah man

So the monday after camp (15th) we headed out to jamaica for our honeymoon. The flights out weren't too terrible, but weather delayed us in Miami. We got into the island at like 1am. We crashed into the beds and woke up at 9am much to andrews disappointment. :) i am the morning person and with the ocean calling my name and the sand drawing me in i had to get up and touch it all. We had a wonderful 5 days there. We talked to some great native Jamaicans, and americans. Found out that we were among the rare few who wait to have sex until you are married. Kind of already know that but it was interesting all the people we met and conversations we had. We would totally do it again!

We missed you guys at the reunion, but I am so glad you got to go on such a fun honeymoon! Loved the pics on Facebook. I'm proud of you and Andrew for being among the "few". Guthry and I were in the wait-til-marriage group too and proud of it!! :)

Yay! Where did you go exactly? We loved Ocho Rios, we rode horses in the ocean! Amazing! I want to see pics...are they on FB?! Love you!

As mentioned in the last entry of this blog i bragged about how Dad is taking care of me and just making things light and easy and fun for the wedding. Yesterday Andrew and i went and took pictures with a friend of ours. And she took us to the grapevine train station, a field, a strange house, and to the lake where he proposed. We laughed, kissed, hugged, laughed and tried to stay warm. It was so much fun! Ellie was a bit nervous cause the temperature was like in the 50's. But the sun and sky was perfect so she said if we were game she was game. So we did! Ended up with like 200 pics....she wittled them down and gave me 160 some. They are all sooo good...it was hard to pick my fave. I am so thankful for her, her talent and her willingness to do this with us! I may put a link to the folder...but not sure just how....so bear with me! :)

I was curious as to where Valentines day came from and this is what i found. There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that i t originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine. Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. Photo shoot with Mabry Family

This past saturday was my first official photo shoot, meaning not really close friends, was really nervous to do it. Andrew came with me and was my voice of direction. I picked the same spot a friend of ours took our engagement pictures, main street Grapevine. We went a bit early to the spot and marked some places we thought would work, and talked out what positions might be good. With his strong voice he commanded them into spots! :) It was fun and the weather was perfect for it. Andrew had gotten me a new lens in time for the shoot so i was super pumped and so thankful it made it in time. There were a couple times that i forgot to change the setting and was like OH NO! Let's try that again!  I think they like it and are happy with it. A mutual friend has already asked me to take pics of her and her hubby. Now i am just waiting for my label to be created so i can look even more official! This is a fun hobby that i am excited to chase after! Click Here for more pics
