He's not finished with me yet...

There is a Brandon Heath song that i heard at this concert sunday night that has just sat on my heart since and this morning while listening brought tears to my eyes. Right now i have a couple friends that are dealing with some deep hurts and struggles and i hurt for them. One has been let down by people, one is hurt by family and doesn't know what step to take next love them or leave them, another is let down by her health and can't figure out why. I listen and truly wish i could help heal or fix or yell at the right people! I beg for clarity, forgiveness, comfort for each in their own needs.

He is not finished yet...no matter where we are healed or wounded he isn't done with us! What comfort and encouragement that is. I have had thoughts of why am i still here, either cause i feel way to unhelpful for God, or sad...and i have definitely wrestled with fear...and disappointment. Its a gentle reminder that HE is THERE! He is standing a beside each one of my friends holding and loving them where they are and offering freedom from their pain! Thank you Jesus that you are always ready and always there!

Father keep teaching us and guiding us that next step to take with you...build us strong so we can battle the unseen! Help me to encourage those around me either with just prayer or words lord!

As mentioned in the last entry of this blog i bragged about how Dad is taking care of me and just making things light and easy and fun for the wedding. Yesterday Andrew and i went and took pictures with a friend of ours. And she took us to the grapevine train station, a field, a strange house, and to the lake where he proposed. We laughed, kissed, hugged, laughed and tried to stay warm. It was so much fun! Ellie was a bit nervous cause the temperature was like in the 50's. But the sun and sky was perfect so she said if we were game she was game. So we did! Ended up with like 200 pics....she wittled them down and gave me 160 some. They are all sooo good...it was hard to pick my fave. I am so thankful for her, her talent and her willingness to do this with us! I may put a link to the folder...but not sure just how....so bear with me! :)

Drills

So the past few wednesdays i have been blessed to 'tutor' 1st graders with reading. Its so easy and it goes by so quick. My husband teaches middle school and has stories galore about the craziness of them and their families. Somethings could be prevented and most is just cause people need Jesus and need to seek after him. Yesterday as we were tutoring they had an 'extreme weather drill'. where everyone calmly goes out in the hall, turn toward the wall sit on their knees and bend over like a ball with their hands on the back of their heads. one teacher said its easier to keep learning with a broken hand than head so keep your hands over the back of your head. The only drills i remember are the fire drills, where you go outside and stand in a line and pretend to watch your school burn down. I have never lived anywhere that they drill for earthquakes or extreme weather...have you? What drills did you do as a yungen?

Photo shoot with Mabry Family

This past saturday was my first official photo shoot, meaning not really close friends, was really nervous to do it. Andrew came with me and was my voice of direction. I picked the same spot a friend of ours took our engagement pictures, main street Grapevine. We went a bit early to the spot and marked some places we thought would work, and talked out what positions might be good. With his strong voice he commanded them into spots! :) It was fun and the weather was perfect for it. Andrew had gotten me a new lens in time for the shoot so i was super pumped and so thankful it made it in time. There were a couple times that i forgot to change the setting and was like OH NO! Let's try that again!  I think they like it and are happy with it. A mutual friend has already asked me to take pics of her and her hubby. Now i am just waiting for my label to be created so i can look even more official! This is a fun hobby that i am excited to chase after! Click Here for more pics
