snow provision

This morning we woke up to a lovely sight! SNOW!! On the second day of december! That is just crazy talk for Texas! I felt like a lil school girl all over again! I made andrew look out the window, and took pictures of our back yard! It was light and fluffy! We loaded up the car and andrew dropped me off at Sbux so i could meet with Niki. As i sat there waiting, reading thru Joshua and journaling, Dad reminded me of the verse in chapter five that says "the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten some of the produce of the land, so that the sons of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate some of the yield of the land of Canaan during the year."
I was super excited about the snow this morning and totally loved it. But i live in Texas the hottest state in America, not Chicago or Maine where snow is a daily occurrence. Do the people up north get as excited when they see the first snow fall? Just like the Israelites when they received their first bit of manna, after a while we read about the complaining. Complaining about God's provision to keep them alive and going toward the goal He has set before them for their good and His glory. We get wrapped up in things we think we need, or want and forget how blessed we truly are. The manna that God has given us sometimes feels stale in our selfish mouths. My prayer is that i will look and seek out God's provision and be thankful and satisfied with that. Just like i got giddy for the snow today, if it snows tomorrow i shall be giddy as well! I have food today that i should be giddy about and tomorrow be giddy again. Sharing what i have would be super too!

Excellent post. We haven't got snow in VA yet. Something is wrong when TX gets it before VA.
