Invitations

I am having a little difficulty with ordering my invitations. I feel like i am being very picky. The invitation sets the mood for the wedding and the way people view us. Most of my family and friends don't know Andrew at all and have never seen a pic. We are doing a picture invitation so they can see us. So then i am challenged with the question, do you make it total classic pose, faces showing and everyone smiling...or the 'artsy' natural moment capture, where you might not be able to see both of our faces if either. I love the way the later looks, but is that the best. Then ordering on line is a beating cause you pay before you see a proof. augh! i am usually laid back...but i am learning there are some things that i wouldn't think bother me...get me nervous. : )
I think the fact that i HAVE to have them by the end of this month is freaking me out too. i know it will get done..its just the first step of actually doing it. A friend helped me the other night looking at stuff on this one site, and i asked for some samples. Hoping that once i get those and can feel the paper and stuff i can choose. Did you know there were like 100s of different types of card stock...and i have to choose between, linen, watercolor, pearl and semi gloss...
At the end of the day (months) i will be married! SWEET!!!

Go with what you love (in regards to the picture and paper). You're the one who will frame it forever or scrapbook it or whatever women do with those things....not many of the guests will do that. I see you as more artsy, not completely classic. That's my bridesmaid opinion.

Too many choices! You are right though. In the end you will be married no matter what invitation you chose! Can you believe how close it is getting?! Can't wait!

In response to your comment...Um...so tangle is the former Godtube. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I would like it more if they came up with this idea before youtube was around. I don't like that Christians borrow ideas and then try to make them Christian. I would rather Christians make great videos and impact culture on youtube then to use this. Why do you ask?

That's cool. I'm glad you asked. I like talking about stuff like that. I looked at plane tickets today to get us to your wedding. I can't wait! Oh and for the pics...I see you as artsy, but fun.

What's Next?

This week is the first week of a new schedule for me. I am cutting my 'hours' in half at work. This means i go from the 40 hours a week to 20 in office hours. I am excited to see what God has next for me. As most of you know ministry isn't in an office, but the office time was suffocating me. So now there is freedom, freedom to do what i am not sure just yet. I have mentioned before Andrew and i's desire to minister to our lil townhouse circle, so i am praying for vision and opportunity there. Being domestic and a untired, focused wife to Andrew is another desire of mine. Don't have much to say just yet...i am excited on this new adventure. I will keep you posted as God shows me what the path his he has for us Kimmels :) He is a good God and i am glad He loves me! It is for freedom he set us free. It is for freedom i cut my pay in half :) hahaha

Spooky things afoot

The other night we heard a knock on the door...upon my answering there was no one there...just a plastic pumpkin filled with goodies and two pieces of paper. It said we had been "Booed". Something spooky was going on in our neighborhood and if we didn't want to get it again we were to tape the other picture to our door.    Since i couldn't find tape i used post-it notes...sad i know. haha There was a poem that came with it explaining how you are to make two more buckets/baskets, copy the two papers and pass it on by ding dong ditching them! I asked my neighbor and friend Kati to go with me cause Kimmel was at the football game. It was very exciting and crazy...i had never ding dong ditched...at least that i remember and i think i would remember something that fun! :) If you live in a neighborhood this is a great way to spread fun and get to know each other. I wish i kept a copy of the poem...but i am sure you can make something up that would be perfect! Happy sp...

always giggle

Since my sister's wedding when i was in 10th grade i have been in a total 13 weddings, none my own. At one point mom told me i needed to stop saying yes! I actually used two of the dresses twice believe it or not! :) It was a privilege to have girls in my wedding knowing that they trusted and loved me long time ago to be in their wedding and were willing and happy to come be in mine. This fall i have the honor of being in my best friend since 1st grades wedding-Amber, and Andrew's best friend's Kyle- we are both in that one! It is exciting to watch the stories unfold and share in their special day. I was at a shower for Maddie and Kyle's wedding this past weekend and i snapped a picture of this lil centerpiece the hostess had made. I thought it was really sweet and i had to share! One of the annoying thing about 'cute' couples is when they giggle. But its only annoying when you aren't that couple, minus public displace of giggling and such i find that aw...
