where the wild things die

So Andrew and i went and saw "where the wild things are" and we were grossly disappointed. I grew up reading the book and enjoyed it, very light hearted and funny from what i remember. Movie not so much! It was a very dark, lonely, sad story about a boy who had some deep issues and no resolution. As far as cinematography it was lovely, well acted, well done wild things but the whole story line was just too abstract and dark for me. It is not a kids movie, so don't even think about it. :) hhahaah if you like artsy, abstract movies than go for it. otherwise don't go!

I agree. I liked it because it was well done, but it was weird and dark. Def not a kids movie.

That's so disappointing, especially for those of us who grew up on the book! That's why I always say - the book is ALWAYS better when a movie comes out... Thanks for the movie review! :)
