The home strech

We can see the finish line for baby Jack. We have a date set for c section- August 11.  My bag has been packed for a couple weeks and i have t-shirts for the boys. Countdown has begun! I guess you know its bad when a lady in the stores asks you 'how much longer' and actually says bless your heart to your face. I definitely am bigger than either of the other two pregnancies, but i must have looked really uncomfortable to her. She told me about her 4 girls and a little about her births. It was kind of silly listening and yet also endearing. I had a flash to me in 20 years seeing a young girl about to pop and knowing what she will go thru. All the joy tears sweat and pain. How much of life is about to begin. So i listened and thanked her for sharing. Its been a great pregnancy and the summer has been pretty mild, for these things i am thankful. I can't describe the tiredness i feel everyday though...and i am trying really hard to enjoy each day and moment with Shepherd and...

Three little boys

Image
I have had a two 'dreams' for life that started way back when i was little. To live near the ocean and raise a house full of boys. One out of two isn't bad? On National Sibling day (yesterday) we took shepherd to our 20 week sono for baby number 3! He just didn't believe us when we would say, 'there's a baby in mommy's tummy'. He would sweetly say "no there isn't". So i thought even though he may not be able to really tell whats on the screen at least he would get the idea of the X-ray of mommy's tummy and believe the dr! It is coming to our family in August so thought he should be ready. We didn't not post for a specific reason really. Im always a bit more hesitant til after the first trimester due to our past, but then after that it was like i couldn't figure out how i wanted to post it. Excited about our third edition i just had to make it spectacular! lol We told family and close friends but i just wanted it to be gr...

Kiwi Crate craft box

Image
Shepherd received a three month subscription to Kiwi Crate from his Layla and Opa (Valinda and mark- my inlaws) and i have to share how great it was! Kiwi Crate has four different crates they send out depending on age starting at 3 up to 15. First ages 3-4 is Koala Crate and this is what we got to experience! A box of two or three crafts then instructions about how to use them, each came with a book too. Check out their Facebook Pag e! This is a great gift idea!! Not sure if its my lack of awesome crafting ability or cause Shep is a boy but we don't do loads of crafts so i was really intrigued by the concept and completely satisfied with the product. Each 'craft' was thoroughly thought out and simple. You didn't need extra glue, or anything to make it work, and they are simply designed to make even the most uncrafty person, such as myself, look good! As well as all that goodness each one came with a book! Its also was fun for him to receive a box each month! Got so ...

breaking routine

Image
I kind of like routines. I am sure i like it more than a spontaneous person but the routine of wet weather is getting me down! Mostly cause we live on a dirt road and we get stuck if its too wet...so this last week was awesome!  The other morning we were out as the sun was coming up jumping, swinging and playing in the sand. My enjoyment of photography was sparked again after meeting with another photographer where the conversation was very encouraging, so i am playing with my camera again while the boys play.  We started out with shepherd directing me:  Take my picture jumping off like a big man momma  Take picture of me running:  Take picture of me here in these flowers ...and take picture of the clouds.      Then he was done and wanted to play in the sand box :) He is a goober!  then i got to play.                             ...

Snowed in

Image
Tried to do pictures with the boys yesterday in the falling snow in the afternoon, but asher fell with in the first seconds of us being out there...                          He wouldn't let go of my hand, so i had to put him inside and he kept crying. I guess it was just too traumatizing. Shepherd really didn't want anything to do with it either so back inside we went. Short and no fun.  Today we tried again and it was a bit more successful. Not much playing for them, Asher kept crying. We pulled them in a box sled and Shepherd liked it but Asher not so much. Hoping its an age thing. :( Kimmel decided to burn some of his brush pile today. Did i mention asher was crying :( I think we had fun :) Hope you and your family did too!

Shepherd's view

Image
A couple weeks back shepherd found my old camera and started taking pictures. Had to share what he captured. Started out on a tri-pod and then holding it.  He loves snapping anything and sometimes i can't tell what he was looking at.  Thought you might get a kick out of them as i did :) Asked me to take his picture on the tripod while he was spinning....an daddy sleeping     in the truck and under the couch   His attention to detail...the soccer goal and his tootsies Extreme close ups....   Daddy and asher The world thru the eyes of three year old :)

Third birthday

Shepherd is three today. This little man is such a blessing in so many ways. Also to be fair he drives me crazy too! Starting to say 'No thank you" when i ask him to do something and he doesn't want to.  Then 5 minutes later helping me find Asher's juice, toy or something. He is definitely a social bug, always wanting someone to share in the fun he is having. He talks a lot which makes me wonder if he will get 'excessive talking' on his school reports like me in school :/ We celebrated last night with friends and family in Keller at a fun kid spot called Celebration. Thanks to great gran Mimi and great gran June and Bob for giving toward his bday! He didn't eat dinner cause he played the whole time but he ate a cupcake! :) Tried for a picture of all the kids and this is what we got... Just seconds later we lost them all :)  We are so very thankful for this little man and all he comes with! We have fun playing and being silly as well as...
